Reconstruction and restoration of the roof part of Cesvaine Castle

Stage:

Sketch project for the reconstruction of the castle building complex.

Construction design project and author supervision for the reconstruction and restoration of the roof part of the castle.

 

Stage 1: 2003

The roof of the left (west) wing of the palace was restored. A temporary covering was applied to the rest of the palace roof.

 

Phase 2 (Tower Restoration): 2006

The castle's large observation tower was renovated.

 

Stage 3 (Later wings/central part):

2008: The roof of the east wing of the castle was renovated.

2017 – 2019 / 2020: The major renovation was to restore the large, central roof section (which had been under temporary cover until then). Construction work began in 2017, and the central roof section with its tiled covering was completed around late 2019 / early 2020.
